Hee hee. Papa has learned this look from one of his cats. I know, because mine (and I have four cats) give it to me all the time, esp when they sit on my newspaper. It is too cute to resist!

Karen, you are so right. He is not only the cutest, he's a ray of pure sunshine. He's wearing the same expression my cat has when she jumps on my head to wake me up at 6 a.m.
I'll never forget that Wednesday that I saw him come out of his old apartment for the last time. I was watching the news and the reporter said he was supervising the packing of his personal items that were to be moved to the Vatican, and of course his piano.
He walked to the builiding where he had lived for more than 20 years. Astonished onlookers did double takes because he was dressed in the unmistakable white robes of the papacy. By the time he came out, there were throngs of photographers and adoring people waiting for him.
He looked radiant. I even told my husband, "He sure looks great in white." I remember I cried and I longer felt like an orphan.
Seeing him come out to cheers and his acknowledgement of the people reminded me of how Psalm 19 [V4-5] describes the light of the sun running its course, " . . . In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes forth like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and like a stong man runs its course with joy"
