Exactly, it is great to hear the Holy Father quoting Chesterton. I wonder if that has happened before?

I just wish the interview could have gone on for at least another couple of hours ... Il Papa was simply wonderful. It's no wonder Peter Seewald returned to the Church after "Salt of the Earth" ...
Thank you, o Lord, for Joseph Ratzinger, the wise and gentle Vicar of Christ, and a truly loving human being.

This cracks me up:
Question: "You live in the Vatican and maybe it hurts you to be far from people ..."
Three questions later, the SAME INTERVIEWER asks, "I admire you every Wednesday when you hold your General Audience. 50,000 people come. It must be very tiring. How do you manage to hold out?"
If 50,000 people on a weekly basis is considered "far from people," we're all social outcasts. Geesh!

Yeah, and I liked the part where he said, "I'm not that lonely."

Lovely interview, but do wish Catholics could, er, calm down a little over Chesterton.
