I would hope she'd get the nomination. I think she'd be easy to beat.

I'm with Dave for the most part. Choosing Hillary as their candidate would open up so much of her life to scrutiny and a review of the Clinton years. Though of course the MSM would be working overtime to airbrush everything, so you never know about easy to beat. And of course it much depends on who the GOP would run against her.

To follow up on Jeff;
We should at least hope that the Democratic candidate is a good one (though not likely) in the case that the Republican nominee is a pro-abortion/pro-SSM/pro-ESCR type.
Certainly, there's enough dirt on Hilary Clinton to make sure she is never elected president, but I'm not too big on guys like McCain.

I see no real pro-lifer with national stature capable of winning in 2008. it will, i fear, be lesser of two evils time again for pro-lifers. i don't see it improving until 2016.

I think Dr. Rice would be an interesting candidate.

My nightmare? Hillary v. Condi, and we get so disgusted we elect Nader by accident.

The only place I want to see Hillary Clinton running for is the bathroom.

Does Rick Santorum not have any chance at getting the Republican nominatation?
I'm just an ignorant Canadian.

While my personal pick for the next President would be Maryland's Michael Steele, he's currently running for Senate, not for the Presidency. That leaves George Allen as the best possible choice.
The Dems won't run Hillary. They'd be beaten everywhere except a couple of flakey places in New England. I think that what's going on now in Connetticut re: Lieberman is little more than a leftist litmus test. If the far-left guy can't win big there, they'll NEVER try Hillary for the Presidency.

Well....here's the problem: George Allen is a racist. The man actually kept a noose in his office. His reason? "I'm a law-and-order guy." Whether he longed for the days of random racist violence or truly was expressing his "law-and-order" sensibilities, he certainly lacks the perspective that we would demand of a president.
As for Santorum, he's getting destroyed in his own state, and has no national appeal.

Santorum is out. And the Dems won't run Hillary, unless they are absolutely crazy. So they will run Hillary.

If the Dems run Senator Clinton, it will be the last nail in their coffin, both for me and for the nation. I honestly think the only Democrats crazy enough to try to run her are people like my stepmother, who actually thought Kucinich had a chance of getting the Democratic nomination in '04.
However, I think on some level my sister is actually hoping they run her...it makes it that much more likely that I'll vote Republican, which she's been trying to persuade me to do since before I could vote.
