The basic problem with this formula is the assumption that "liberals" (the American use of this term, especially as I gather it's almost exclusively pejorative now, always makes me giggle) beget liberals and conservatives beget conservatives. If that were so, the events of the 1960s would never have happened, as the majority of the people responsible for those events were the offspring of a fairly conventional, conservative pre-war generation.
Many things go into the formation of our opinions and tendencies as we grow up; it's really hard to predict what will happen.
The contraceptive culture thinks with its genitals. It doesn't use them for procreation.
As for its brains, the contraceptive culture uses those for screwing around.
Muslims? They're going to numerically overwhelm the contraceptive culture with the policy of "Make love, not war!"

This whole liberal-baby vs. conservative-baby argument is pointless.

Population under age 15: 1.8 billion.
USA population under age 15: 60.7 million (a mere 3.35% of the world's children).
India has 338 million, or 18.7% of the world's children.
China has 311 million, or 17.2% of the world's children.
Indonesia has 69 million children, or 6.9% the world's children.
Each of these countires has more children than the entire United States.
Together, these three countries in Asia have 12 times as many children as the United States.
Do you wonder why every corporation in the world is trying to get into China and India?

19.4% are in Africa.
Together, Asia and Africa have 75.1% of the world's population under age 15.
If you represented the total global population of children under age 15 as a gallon of water, all the children in the United States, regardless of the politics of their parents, would fit in 8 tablespoons.

Actually, it is already sucking resources out of the United States, as steel and concrete become very expensive in the US, because of all the construction going on now in China.
US Conservative vs. Liberal fertility? A pointless agrument if there ever was one.
The prophecy probably would come true if the educational establishment weren't a giant liberal propaganda machine in so many schools. Here in Mass. radical homosexualism and environmentalism--along with ridicule of anything conservative or traditional is virtually part of the liberal brainwash curriculm.

I don't think it's pointless - the importance of the US may shrink on a global scale, but it still will be important to those who live here - and the political makeup of the future US is similarly important. In addition, the US is still the main target for immigrants throughout the world - while we may not be reproducing ourselves at the same speed as other countries, we have the largest and most diverse immigrant population in the world, and little indication that that will change in the near future.
So, the relative dearth of "liberal babies" compared to "conservative babies" in the US will certainly impact US politics and society, as will the influx of immigrants. Personally, I believe that a more conservative, Christian, family-oriented America will be better able to engage in the international dialogue and promote the values which made Western society dominant for the last century or so: liberty, personal responsibility, family, civic-mindedness, and limited government.
