Not good timing. Over here in Oz the stem cell debate is crankign up again and probably have a vote in Parliament before December.

It may swing some of those in the middle who would otherwise have voted against for fear of voter backlash.

Adult stem cell research is boring. It's not controversial. The people pushing changes to the law here are the same as those that pushed to legalise RU486 back in February.

Just nasty people really.
