Cute cute cute.
Is it just me or does he have a thing for hats--or, do people have a thing for putting hats on him?

He wears hats well AND obviously feels comfortable in them . . . now that hats are not mandatory for men (well, or women, for that matter!), you really have to meet both those criteria to wear hats comfortably in public, I think! Many men wear hats well but do not feel comfortable in them - that's the elusive element that Papa obviously has going for him.
And, sensing that, people are obviously getting hats to him now!

He looks good in hats-did anyone see the red one he wore at last week's audience? I think it's called a 'saturno'....

I'm going to repeat what I said when Il Papa wore the saturno:
Love that hat.
Love that smile.
Love that Pope.
That new hat is delightful. He looked great in it, and it looked great on him.
I recall that Il Papa liked to wear berets when he was a Cardinal. I hope someone gives him a lovely white one.

Irishgirl,
The saturno is officially called a "capello romano", and is an official ecclesiastical headgear. Thatīs what the Pope wore last week.
This one is not official, but it looks good anyway.

"In Turkey I hope he wears a fez."
That would only revive freemasonry accusations.

Professor,
Thanks for the clarification on the papal headgear.
Papa still looks good in whatever he wears...
