That's very sad. I hope that all will be well for the good Cardinal and he will have a speedy recovery. I met him two weeks ago at the Joint Theological Commission at Belgrade and I was impressed by both his erudition and charm.
The two priests mentioned with Cardinal Keeler are from my local Catholic community. Msgr. Smith is especially notable- a truly holy and faithful priest.
Cardinal Keeler was also the former bishop of my diocese- that's why all 3 were friends and traveling together.
