That show is absolute filth. It's sick and disgusting. Those who think that that show is funny need to be locked in a mental institute.
Amen to the above! Though I confess to watching SP (my son thinks it's a riot) I find little to recommend it. It's stupid, insulting, and overrated, and I get so tired of having things I believe in constantly under assault. "No sir, I don't like it!"
My brother (an agnostic) doesn't let me watch it when I visit, although he likes it himself. Kinda nice of him.
I see it as an necessary evil, without which some subjects could never be lampooned or discussed. Although it often crosses the line of decency, the show has no "sacred cows" that it shelters and all are equally offended.
Considering that I don't have cable and can't watch it, I might have an overly positive view of the show.
Apherius, evil is NEVER necessary. Did you even see the pictures on Gerald's blog? They have naked boys on leashes with Cardinal Mahoney.

Any Catholic who watches that show must enjoy watching evil. That show also makes fun of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. It mocks them and ridicules them. To watch that show is to commit mortal sin. Period. Anything that evil has its origin in the bowels of Hell....
this one was actually pretty mild. They've made fun of the church much worse in other episodes. Of course, they make fun of all religions, especially scientology. They really go after scientology (with some justification). And keep in mind that they really mocked the devil in that episode.
The key to dealing with these people is to take it in stride. They thrive off of offending people and it usually gets them free press. In the world of television ANY press, even bad press, is good publicity and increases their ratings.
