Really, why is the Holy Father going if things are this way? They've made it abundantly clear that they're not going to welcome him; I see no reason why he should bother, and possibly endanger, himself to visit at this point in time.

As much as I understand not wanting the Pope to go due to the danger. I also understand that those who react like this to his impending visit are the ones who need our prayers the most. And perhaps even his presence will help bring them grace and peace.
On a side note there is a mistake in the title...it reads "random acts of violent..." in stead of "...violence..."
