I have posted a series on Catholic Social Teaching on our post if you're interested!

Sorry... "on our blog" not "on our post" :)

Gravatar Kat,

I know I've said it before, but your experience as an immigrant from Venezuela has certainly given you the "eyes" for social justice. While for many American Catholics (myself, included), Catholic social teaching has remained largely doctrinal and a matter of principle, your unique living exposure to the poorest of the poor and the privileged of the privileged has given you insights that many us have never had or comprehended. Your understanding of Pope Benedict XVI's second section of Deus Caritas Est is particularly keen, especially because you have perceived it as intelligible only in light of the magnificent and magnanimous tradition of Catholic social teaching stemming from Leo XIII's monumental Rerum Novarum.

Gravatar I enjoy your blog! Just ordered the book now, thanks for the introduction to it!

Gravatar Father Charles' book is great! We read it at Ave Maria School of Law in one of my classes. I highly recommend the book. Brumley's review and summary of the book is also well done.
