Gravatar Thanks for the link. And good luck on your finals. I don't miss those days a bit.

Gravatar The last sign in the "conversation" has imprecise information.

The "Novus Ordo" is also the Latin Mass, and may be offered in Latin or the local language.
.

Gravatar I knew someone would quibble about this, Father. Of course, you are correct, but the format provides only very limited space to make a point and I think the point comes across. That there should be more Latin in the typical Novus Ordo would be great.

Gravatar It's NOT a quibble. I have seen this sloppy talk for years, among well-intentioned folks, and it has had several negative consequences. I'm not kidding here. Ok, sure, joke and all in thesigns, but this term is out there.

Folks, Latin is a language, not a Mass.

Gravatar Goodness. I have changed the last frame of the post to differentiate between the Traditional Latin Mass and the English Novus Ordo.

BTW an earlier sign pointed out that Latin was never intended by the Council to have been lost to the extent that it has.

Good day to all.

Gravatar I just like the whole setup, esp between Baptist and Catholic. Of course we all know who got the last word...
When I find a church that uses Latin, there comes a reason to swim the Tiber....

Gravatar Panda Rosa: Get your feet wet and find the parish that uses Latin if that is all it will take for you to become Catholic. Have some fear for your final judgment, for it sounds to me like God, in His Goodness, has given you the grace to know which is the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic church. That is a grace that must be acted upon--Latin or not. I will keep you in my prayers.

Gravatar Too funny

Gravatar This is tremendously funny. And reminds me of how lucky I am to attend a parish where the Mass is in Latin!
