Gravatar Still and yet, the Holy Father will remain in my prayers and I pray that his good health will continue on.

Gravatar Right, Thom. Between the Vatican's chronic denial of papal health problems, and the press' obsession that a pope is always at death's door, I plan to completely ignore both inevitable rumors, and the automatic denials. Long Live the Pope.

Gravatar Of course, like virtually all men his age he almost certainly has some heart issues. If he died tomorrow no one should be surprised, but at the same time I would not be surprised to see him live to be 90.

Gravatar The pope exhibited very good health on his Holy journey to America. However, I have knowledge based on people within the Vatican that the Holy Father's health is not as good as it appears. God bless Our Holy Father.

Gravatar The dude's 81. Health rumors abound around anyone of prominence who's over 70. We might as well get used to such rumors being floated. The way that guy bounded off the plane in D.C., though, leaves me with no reason to believe his health is failing. Viva il papa!

Gravatar I couldn't believe it when I saw the Holy Father leave the Basilica in Washington. I was on those steps only the morning before and he took them better than I did!

Gravatar And why the hell shouldn't "the Vatican" deny rumors of the pope's health even if the rumors have some basis in fact. He's not an elected official, his health really isn't anyone's damn business. Just content ourselves praying for him always and leave his longevity up to God.

Gravatar I doubt most people could have kept up to the physical demands of the Pontiff during his visit. Pope Benedict seems delightfully young at times!

Long live the Pope!!

Cheers from Canada.
Tony

Gravatar The press is as interested in the Pope's health as the Vice President is concerned for the President's health.

B16 was as spry and envigorated during his recent visit to the USA as was JP2 when he was twenty years younger than his successor during his first American visit.

Gravatar My Dad's 96 and has never had any heart problems, due to all the watermelon and melon he has eaten his whole life. I don't see why the Pope should necessarily have any due to his young age of 81.

Gravatar I hope he gives Methuselah a run for his money!

Gravatar He's in good shape for a gentleman of his age! Viva il Papa!

Gravatar He was invigorated during the US trip!

I hope he lives a long life-VIVA IL PAPA!
