I wish Bob hope were still around (I'm not saying he was always child-friendly.)
But good for Sparks. AFAIK, while the word she used wasn't good, she was speaking off the cuff.

This dork's timing could not have been worse, as a way to break through the Yank market. A year ago, he would have gotten hee hee ho ho and acknowledgment from the sensitive and caring among us. A kind of Dixie Chicks of comedy- gosh, no FM country station plays their music anymore. Now in the pre-Palin age, it's back to smoky pubs in Manchester. If that much.

Do you really think Russell Brand would EVER be funny? He's a pig, and pigs aren't funny.
And I have no problem with the words used here. Golly, Dr. Laura uses blunt, but perfectly accurate, language all the time. If that makes people uncomfortable, maybe they should reconsider their behavoir. "Pre-marital relations" and "fornication" mean the same thing, but one sounds like there could be a way to justify it, the other just doesn't.

Someone said that the singer madonna has dedicated her song *like a virgin* to Pope Benedict while performing in Rome.

j - it's true, but since it's purely a publicity stunt, I for one am not playing into it.
