Well, I'm curious about how Humanae Vitae could "endanger women's lives . . ."
I understand that there are health risks from childbearing.
But Humanae Vitae does not cause childbearing, does it?

I think this 'open letter' will show us how silly these people really are. It had better describe in detail how this document is a failure simply because 'most Catholics' choose to ignore the teaching. The problem should not be ignoring the letter but addressing people who are not willing to listen.

Yeah, indeed Kevin, those Catholic dissenters from "Catholics for a choice" are apologists for the terrorists.

With there be actual names here (and if so, other than a small sampling of the usual petty suspects), or is this going to be another foundation-funded stunt by a couple of useful idiots?

Wow, Anonymous...that comment came from left field. How in the world do you get "apologists for terrorists" from what Kevin said?
If you're making a cake, but don't follow (even willfully ignore and contradict) the recipe, is the disastrous result the fault of the recipe or your failure to follow the directions?
Many people have ignored Humanae Vitae, and the results have been atrocious. Has Humanae Vitae really been the "utter failure" claimed by Cafeteria Catholics for Choice?

Hmm...Catholics for Choice...kind of like Catholics for Obama.

Matt, once you tresspass one part of the law you're guilty of breaking the whole law. It's call moral relativism.

Actions such as the "open letter" serve the purpose of reminding more thoughtful Catholics that the teaching on contraception is real and should not be ignored. Sooner or later, a choice must be made.

First Things has a terrific piece in the current issue on the vindication of Humanae Vitae. It shows how all of the problems Paul VI predicted would follow from the widespread acceptance and use of contraceptives have come to pass. Highly recommended reading.

Anonymous,
To what law do you refer, that somehow links Humanae Vitae dissidents with terrorists?
