Hmm...do you think they'll offer tickets for the Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC? I'd rather go to Mass there than a stadium, however, if it's not possible, then a stadium will have to do.

The DC Archdiocese offices don't have the tickets available yet, and they're not sure when they will become available. Keep checking the website - thats' what they told me.

Andrew, I doubt that the Mass at St. Pat's will be open to the public. It's being billed as a Mass with the priests and clergy of the Archdiocese (and beyond). Given the number of priests I saw at the ordination last May (and those were the ones who were able to attend - many more will clear up their schedules to celebrate Mass with the Pope) and figuring a good number from outside the archdiocese will make a pilgrimage to New York for it, I don't think there'll be much room for lay people, if any at all. Consider the Mass at St. Pat's to be a private one (as private a Mass with hundreds of concelebrating priests can be). Wait for the tickets to the Mass at Yankee Stadium to become available.

Lirioroja, that's just so disappointing. Kneeling on peanuts and nachos is not exactly the way I want to assist at Holy Mass. Sarcasm aside, I still want to make a pilgrimage to see the Pontiff. Thanks for the answer!

You may want to try a New York seminary for contacts. 914-749-3900 for the Thornwood one. I don't know the Dunwoody number. Just a pitch in the dark.
