Gravatar The Pope to Face Shaky Church Future in Latin America is another ridiculously biased MSM article.

"VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Benedict on Wednesday starts his first trip to Latin America, where a Church that is home to nearly half of the world's Catholics faces an uncertain future and falling numbers.

The May 9-14 trip to Brazil, the most populous Catholic country, will also be a personal challenge to the Pope, who is still associated with crackdowns on Liberation Theology in the 1980s when he was Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger."

What bias. The reason that the Church faces falling numbers and skyrocketing defections to Evangelical sects is because the heresy of Liberation Theology worships a Che Guevera type hippy that is not divine, but rather a very human and wimpy do social gooder. It is not the Christ that Catholics believe in.

In essence Brazilians are rejecting this Arian and Pelagian heresy and mistakingly turning to a truth, that Christ is divine, that they are getting in Protestantism, and not from their Liberation Theology/Socialist pastors. It is the same concept that liberal dioceses in the U.S. are dying and conservative dioceses are flourishing with many new priests.

Reuters gets it completely wrong yet again: They are making out like Brazilians are rejecting traditional Catholicism (bad) because it cracked down on Liberation Theology (good).

Liberals are either dense or disingenuous.

I think it's a "both/and" rather than an "either/or" ;)
