Douglas County, home of Lawrence and my beloved Jayhawks, though I never went to school there. From what I understand, the St. Lawrence Center on campus is pretty vibrant. I know the bishop of Salina and a monsignor who many in Wichita think will become a bishop spent plenty of time there, and I think several priests for the Archdiocese of Kansas City have been recruited from the center, as well. The importance of campus centers can't be overstated, I don't think.
Yes, it could be a vehicle from another town in the county, but I wanted to take the opportunity to talk about the University of Kansas. :)

Well if you're gonna post this picture . . .
Could you maybe send the driver ten bucks to pay for a car wash?
(Unless, perhaps, he/she means to be seen as a "Filthy Papist?")

I actually had this plate in Virginia, but the Commonwealth screwed up and mailed it to the wrong address. Sadly, I opted for a regular plate since I was headed to the seminary.

Or perhaps the owner is unaware of the newly revised translation of Chapter 6 of the Book of Matthew:
"But when you fast,
anoint your head,
clean your license plate,
and wash your face,
so that you may not appear to be fasting . . . "
