I had not watched this in a long time, then I watched the season opener. The Palin/incest skit shows how truly low they will go. I don't plan on wasting any more time on this show.

Yeah, SNL makes no bones about low blows.
Although you have to admit, Palin´s interview with Couric was pretty embarrassing. If it had been a democrat mumbling nonsense on that interview, I imagine we´d have seen it on this blog in about five seconds.

Maybe she's just playing dumb? The lower the expectations we have of her pre-debate, the better she looks when it's over.

Billyd,
Did Amp cover Biden's outrageous mistakes?

They were quoting Palin's interview. They were reenacting her interview. McCain's people won't let her talk to anyone because she consistently says the wrong thing.

David B:
Yes. I remember reading lots on Biden´s mistakes at AmP. If I remember correctly, Biden is also a democrat.
I´m not saying the pro-abortion ¨Catholics¨ don´t deserve the scrutiny. Let´s keep it coming. But while we´re keeping politicians honest, let´s watch both sides of the field.
I admit, the Couric interview was not a case of Palin rambling ignorant idiocy about our Church´s venerable Fathers or something. It´s not incredibly relevant for a Catholic blog. But this blog has been talking a lot about Palin lately and I just find this particular lacuna in Palin coverage notable.

that wasn't funny at all.SNL in my opinion had some humour when they were first on but it was always a dumb comedy show.

Unlike fake feminists HIllary and Pelosi, Palin has done it all on her own. That's what frosts the looney left! Tom

It was funny..... very funny.
I am amazed at how we are taking soo many things the wrong way. SNL is about satire, and it is unfortunate that we dont see it that way.

Seriously, and SNL has a history of making fun of everybody. Sketches making fun of Clinton's mannerisms (biting his lower lip and giving the thumbs up, eating large amounts of fast food, etc.) Hillary Clinton's waffling position on whether she'd run for POTUS or not. Remember how they treated the pre-teen Chelsea Clinton? Just a few examples. SNL is willing to tear into anyone for their foibles. I do happen to believe they are nastier to the right, but that might just be because that's the side of the aisle I am on.

The point is not that it's "my candidate" or that satire is not funny. That is funny enough. You just don't have to go into the gutter to be funny. It is fine, and funny, to poke fun at her gaffes. But please, spread the wealth. Any skits on Biden this season? Or critical of Obama?
