These "hate crimes" bills are trojan horses: they sound good, but in the future what is going to stop a priest in homily claiming homosexual acts are wrong from being accused of inciting "hate?" Soon the Catholic Church will be accused of "hate speech" for simply teaching the truth. Physical violence towards another human being is wrong period, and it doesn't make it worse if there is "hate" involved.

So I'm glad President Bush will veto it.
