Much of this debate was friendly and thus far - I have listened to half of teh debate - has not addressed controversial issues surrounding the relationship between faith and politics. However, Russert asked this interesting question to Sen. Dodd:
Russert: "How does Catholic Church teaching inform your decision to vote for embryonic stem cell research Senator?"
Dodd: "Well, its a difficult question..." (For you most certainly)

What was most telling in Dodd's response was this statement:
"What we're talking about here is the ability to take products that might otherwise be lost entirely... talking about embryonic stem cells that would otherwise be discarded."

Thanks for the clarity. Their not persons, humans in deveopment or even abstractly embryos, no they are Products!
