And if Obama picks a pro-life Catholic like Tim Kaine (as opposed to the pro-choice Biden), it will be disastrous.
Imagine all the Catholics out there who will assume it's "okay" to vote for Obama because, gee, Governor Kaine is willing to be on his ticket (if they even give it THAT much thought).
Interesting? More like ugly.

Pray that he doesn't choose Hillary.
I have a feeling that such a 'dream ticket' can't lose.
Catholics seem to be confused.
They have been for a long while.
Without their help, neither Obama nor Hillary could have won their seats in the senate.

June,
Kaine isn't all that pro-life. Kaine told the Washington Post, during his 2001 campaign for Lt. Governor, that he "opposes efforts to restrict abortions" and that he "opposes efforts to require a parent's consent before a minor gets an abortion."
Running for Governor though he changed the story to get elected. Even NARAL did not see Kaine's so called new pro-life view as a problem and said " we are eager and willing to work with him on these important issues should he be elected."
I almost hope Obama picks a pro-abortion Catholic VP, especially the Kansas Gov. This will only add fuel to the fire like Kerry who lost the Catholic vote.

A fake Catholic is not a Catholic. We need a bishop with some spine who will excommunicate these clowns and end the charade once and for all, unless of course, the problem is that many bishops are pro-choice as well but don't have the guts to say what they truly believe publicly. Tom

It really seems like the conventions are late this time and it seems like they are waiting forever to announce their VP picks. Kerry announced Edwards as his pick on July 6. Back in 2000 Bush announced Chenney as his running mate on July 25.

This is exactly what the bishops were afraid of in playing political games with the Eucharist. The issue is between Kathleen Sebelius and her bishop. We should not hope that it becomes a national scandal just because it might help McCain a little bit.

Tom,
It's because our society is politically correct. We live in the culture of death. Our society needs to understand that unborn children have rights which cannot be ignored. Our bishops have got to step up to the plate. Unfortunately, we are at the midst of a great chastisement due our western society's great sins.
Our Lady cried! Why? Cause we celebrate ourselves and have virolently rejected God and His commandments. Reminds me of what Isaias the prophet says.
Isaias 28:8 8 For all tables were full of vomit and filth, so that there was no more place.
This should be a warning to Christians who lack good deeds and have nothing to show for their works.

Delle: No, if you want him to lose you should pray that he DOES choose Hillary. People do not like Hillary - and not just people on the Right, either. I've seen a number of Dems threaten to vote McCain if Hillary's the VP.
