There was a Brownback breakfast this morning (cheapest seats $200), hosted in part by Monaghan. I think it was in Livonia.
Here's hoping, eh?

I met Sam Brownback at the Blogs for Life Conference, where he met my daughter with Down Syndrome and spoke eloquently about allowing unborn babies with Downs to be born(see my posts) He is a great Catholic political leader. He has consistently taken the Catholic postition in today's crucial issues, most especially in his support of the disabled and the unborn. He has just re-introduced the Fetal Pain Awareness bill in the Senate.
I know he's a longshot, but if the primary voters are a pro-life as they have been in recent history, there just may be an upset.

Interestingly, GOP candidate Mitt Romney once handed Monaghan a check for over a billion dollars. Romney's private equity group (Bain Capital, I think) bought Domino's. This according to Romney's stump speech.
