Gravatar Hey! I look forward to welcoming you to the neighborhood! I'm a short hour away in Milwaukee.

Let me know if you need any info or directions or ideas for interesting places to see. I hope to be able to make the trip over there!

Now _that_ is the killer ap. :)

Gravatar Oh man, if you made it in The Onion, you've officially "Made It!"

Gravatar looks good Tom!
We're excited to have you. Even though the website is on the ad, people should go to
www.isthmuscatholic.org
for more information and directions/location for TOT!

See you in September!

Gravatar Thanks Moni, the mainpost has been updated with that extra information.

Gravatar Hey Thomas, you pretty sharp with the suit and vest!

Too bad I'm too 'old' for something like this...I'll be 54 next month....bummer....

Gravatar Great gig, but I'm curious, is AP really considered a "Catholic youth blog"? Because I think its appeal is across the spectrum. Most of the content is fairly sophisticated. Perhaps I am conceiving of "youth" as something that has been watered down to the lowest common denominator, which AP is definitely not.

Gravatar That's my parish! Or rather, I'm from Holy Redeemer Parish, which was forced to merge with the Cathedral last month under extremely distressing circumstances.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to come for two reasons. First of all I go to school in Florida (Ave Maria University, actually), and secondly I'm not old enough! It's really sad, but our parish administration has become more and more "ageist" in recent years, and at least half of all the events planned are not open to anyone who doesn't fit into the 20's and 30's age group. (Sorry to sound disgruntled, but things just haven't been the same here since the Cathedral burned down three years ago!)

While you're here, be sure to check out Holy Redeemer! We have Masses in English, Spanish, and Latin (and it's Tridentine Rite, too!) and a perpetual Adoration chapel. If you'll still be here on Sunday, the choir for the 9 am Mass (in English) is lovely and sounds much larger than the 6 to 12 people that usually sing in it.
