Fr. Ladaria is an excellent priest, theologian and teacher. He taught the course on the Trinity when I attended the Gregorian. One of the best teachers there - an excellent educator, an orthodox theologian and a marvelous example of the priesthood.

Speaking of Saints, Thomas- did you hear that Blessed Fr. Damien is going to be canonized? The Congregation has approved the miracle needed for him to [finally!] be called "Saint Damien"!

Also, St. Therese's parents, Louis and Zelie Martin, are going to be beatified. Their miracle has been approved, and the announcement of when and where the ceremony will be is slated for July 13th, their 150th wedding anniversary. Their tombs were moved to the Basilica of St. Therese in May 28th.

Hope this is not too far off the thread....
