I think the comparison doesn't really hold:
The difference between the scenarios O'Reilly referred to (mosque or synagogue) and what happened at the SF parish is that here it (sadly!) wasn't really an outside group that disrupted Mass, but was, as I understand, however scandalously, a part of that parish.

Wait a minute, Tom. Because the media is silent on something, that is "anti-Catholic"? If the media did make a ruckus about this, wouldn't THAT constitute anti-Catholic? ("There they go again...!") Which do you want, attention or avoidance? And by the way, Bill O'Reilly is hardly what most intelligent people would consider a good source for news! He is one of the most arrogant and offensive people on the air...if he weren't, he wouldn't have a whole show devoted to making a fool out of him (and quite successfully, by another Catholic).

Catholic coverage of Archbishop Niederauer by other Catholics should be fair and take into context the SF situation in which the Archbishop ministers. My post, "A Fool For Us: Archbishop George Niederauer", I hope, is of interest to you. http://dealwhudson.typepad.com/d.../deal_w_hudson/
