Gravatar I was surprised to find this game was created by a Catholic: http://www.christianbook.com/Chr...& item_no=234263

Gravatar "If this is the best they can do, better not to do it at all"

I second that!

Gravatar Catholics can be just as incompetent as Protestants. :(

Gravatar that's like the worst video game ever. It looked like 1985 technology, and the story is obviously not really there. I totally agree with you Tom, there is a reason that christians get such a bad rap, and 'christian' culture like this is one of those reasons. That's why I love being Catholic, we've got distinctive culture, that doesn't imitate (poorly) popular culture.

Gravatar I've always wanted to team BibleMan up with Striperella from Spike TV. Might be rather interesting....

Gravatar You mean this isn't a parody from The Curt Jester?

Gravatar Wonder what the player vs. player is like.

"Bless you, but you just got pwnz0rd!11!"

"Save me 733t h4x!"

"I ain't rezzin you agin!"

Gravatar Bibleman has a lightsaber!?! George Lucas should sue.

Gravatar So... I should fight those that protest... with swords and guns?

WTF?

I want to play that Left Behind game, where people must convert or die. That's just GREAT for the image of Christians around the world.

Gravatar Maybe it's a joke?
It could be, right...right?

Gravatar That's brilliant. Almost as good as the Left Behind video game, where the scoring is something like you get -1 points for killing a heathen but +2 points if you convert them ... because the difference between eternal damnation and eternal life is 3 points.

I'm reminded of the Simpsons episode where Bart went to the Flanders' house and they were playing some Bible video game. The best line: "Shoot him with the word of God and convert the heathen! Oh! You just grazed him. He became Unitarian."

Gravatar This wasn't supposed to be IRONIC?

Q: What was your motivation behind this project?

A: God. Well, actually, my wife asked me one day why there weren't any Christian video games, but I know it was Him speaking through her. From that point He opened so many doors and made so many appointments for me to meet the right people who could help accomplish this.

My hope is that parents will see video games like this that are Christian games, and not think right off the bat that "Christian games are boring", or all video games are bad for their children.
