Lugo does not want to return to ministry. He never proposed that. Others have suggested that. He has moved on. An important aspect of "freedom of religion" is that members of the clergy are free to move on if their conscious dictates. I respect your view to be critical of Lugo, but are you equally critical of the bishops who moved around the sexually abusive priests?

I think most folks here are quite critical of bishops who moved around abusive priests. So, what's your point?
How's about me saying "I respect your view to be critical of Catholic prelates who moved around the sexually abusive priests, but are you equally critical of politicians who sexually exploited young volunteers?"
Where exactly would that vicious cycle of mutual recriminations stop?
Let's deal with separate issues separately. We might get somewhere.
