Good to see Archbishop Kelly is staying busy in Washington among his confreres. Maybe he'll think twice about returning to Louisville and do what he really wanted to do, when he was Washington's auxiliary.

I was in the Crypt Chapel this morning with my wife and son. We go there on Saturdays for Confession, which in a room off to the side.
We saw the beginning of Mass and all the Dominicans in attendance and discovered what was up.
One of the pleasures of frequenting the National Shrine is that ordinations and other major functions are common enough to be a pleasure but never really a surprise.
But I'm sorry we didn't know you were around. It would have been a happiness to meet you.

Now I love the Domincans. But, wasn't Archbishop Kelly the one who attended a talk by a pro-abort politician in Kentucky after having said that the diocese would not have anyone there? Or am I confusing him with another Kentucky bishop? His successor, Bishop Kurtz is pro-life all the way. My friends in Knoxville tell me about all the good people he brought in to work for him there. The head of the Office of Justice and Peace, whom Kurtz brought hired, is an ex-Marine who rightly places lots of emphasis on the unjust killing of the innocents in abortion!!!
