Gravatar Something that I just noticed from the second story about Obama's Catholic council....

Reverend Michael Pfleger, Pastor of Faith Community of St. Sabina, Chicago, IL

Isn't this the same one who stood up in that church and praised Obama's pastor as a great biblical scholar and all this? hmm...

Anyway, I'm happy to see the apology from Pastor Hagee.

Gravatar See, I told you so. These fundamentalist anti-Catholics for the most part have had NO contact with Catholics who can charitably explain Church teaching or history. When they do, since there hearts are basically open to seeking God, they better understand and respect Catholic positions.

Whereas the folks helping Obama are not open to God. Instead they are following another god.

Gravatar In his "apology" he said he was not fully aware that the inflammatory terms he used are often used by anti-Catholic groups to describe the Catholic Church. Oh come on! Hagee is not stupid he knew what he was saying all those years. Maybe his apology could have appeared sincere if he had not pretended to not know those deragotory terms are often used by bigots, like himself, to refer to the Catholic Church. Totally insincere and he presumed the people he was apologizing to are incrediably nieve. Well i didn't know....yeah yeah..sure

Gravatar How do you know? These people did and do live in their own little world, isolated from contact with non-Protestants. Where I grew up there were only 3% Catholic. So how are they going to be disavowed of their prejudices? I suppose watching the Kennedy family's antics on the news will do it?

Gravatar His "apology" sounded quite politically expedient. I do not for one moment think his apology is sincere. Martin Luther, John Calvin and John Knox, among many, have written extremely derogatory remarks about the Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Hagee is not unaware of those remarks. He learned them in seminary.

Gravatar What about Pastor John Hagee's million dollar ministry scandal? How come that is never mentioned in the media? For more info, google search "open letter to pastor hagee". Pastor John Hagee is Sr. Pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio TX and is on TBN "Christian" TV.
