Unfortunately, to the extent that there is any discussion of this matter in the media it is almost certain to be grounded in ignorance or malice (toward the parties or the Church).

The commentators who get invited back to the TV news shows are the ones who are willing to make sensational statements, take extreme positions, and yell really loud.
