Classic!
Colbert is notoriously cadgey about his actual beliefs. As far as I know, other than making much of the fact that he is an openly active Catholic who goes to Mass and participates in catechesis, he hasn't given many unambiguous statements about what he thinks about Church teaching on the typical doctrines that send people off the rails.
If anyone has other information, I'd be curious to hear it.
I will say that some of the ways in which he has joked about contraception, sexuality, and magisterial authority might provoke doubts.
Not that it is really our place to be using a microscope on the mote in his eye... But the fact that he's so public about his Catholicism does make speculating hard to resist.
