Gravatar Catholics for Choice lists their president and board of directors right on their web site. Why don't their bishops discipline them? Their whole mission is to create scandal and deceive people about the Catholic Church and the truths she teaches. At the very least this seems like a pretty cut and dry canon 915 case.

Gravatar That's disgusting.

Gravatar Gee whiz. Good Catholics are monogamous and understand that sex is for procreation, not just recreation: ergo condoms are not necessary.

Gravatar Why do we still have World AIDS day? Don't the Africans dying of malaria and TB and all the Americans and Europeans dying of cancer count?

Gravatar A grandmother??!

"Bueno, Luis... as long as you're committing mortal sins with your boyfriend and dragging him to Hell right alongside you, make sure you keep yourself under wraps. It won't do anything for the basic digestive tract health concerns or save your soul, but maybe some bits of you won't catch anything. Maybe. If the thing doesn't break, and if it actually stops the molecules.

"But anyway, we'll make money on this commercial, and that must be a good Catholic value, right?"

Gravatar some folks have a ***** of a time keeping their *****ing ding dongs inside their pants (aggravated)

Gravatar Why do we have world aids day? Ask Pope Benedict because he always s speaks compassoinately about aids on the dec. 1. Also the author of the blog needs to delete the post by Roman Crusader and ban him from posting on the site because of the extreme vulgarity in the above post.

Gravatar Okay, let me put it this way. Why is AIDS so much more important than any other disease?

Gravatar Hit your Tom button.

Gravatar Dymphna: Because AIDS kills so many people and is PREVENTABLE. World AIDS day draws attention to the disease and helps to educate people about how to avoid it (i.e. by not having promiscuous sex or using drugs). Of course, there is the whole condom debate, but that doesn't invalidate the good of World AIDS day, which the pope himself participates in.

Gravatar dymphna
ask Pope Benedict. He speaks about aids far more than cancer or diabetes or anything like that. Also might want to ask the Missionaries of Charity. Find their website and e-mail them or call them.

Disgusting to still see Roman Crusaders filth posted.

Gravatar dave, what's wrong with Roman Crusader's post? Is he wrong? Is he defaming someone, or showing a lack of charity? Or is it the censored (and presumed vulgar) words that are so upsetting?

Gravatar A link to help substantiate Thomas' claim that "the Church's teaching on abstinence before marriage and fidelity within marriage, when widely practiced, does more to reduce the incidence of new HIV/AIDS infections than all the condoms Catholics for Choice could ever throw at the problem."

Gravatar The Pope's December 2007 prayer intention was for those suffering from AIDS...especially women and children.

There are 15 million children in Africa - Africa alone - who have been orphaned by AIDS, and about a half million of those children will have contracted AIDS from their mothers.

It's so tragic because it's an outcast's disease. I can't help but picture the lepers of Jesus' time.

Gravatar "I dunno, I'm just getting really fed up with Catholics for Choice and I'm too distracted right now to think up a comprehensive plan to counter-act their dissembling efforts. "

If it helps, I live in a major city and attend a very large downtown parish, and the only time I've ever heard about Catholics for Choice's ads is on outraged Catholic blogs. So I guess their efforts aren't too fruitful.

Gravatar This ad campaign was geared towards New York City Hispanics (it's in Spanish), not Africa or any other "out there" entity. My only point is World AIDS Day is just an excuse for the usual PP-esque agenda.
