I watched the Vigil Mass on EWTN, now that was a Processional!! I really loved the homily, very moving...hope to find the text online, I would love to read it and experince it again.

May I sing the praises of the Knights of Columbus ushers? I was a member of the KofC Irregulars (called in by the permanent usher corps on an ad hoc basis)for four of those vigils and I have to say that being an usher at the National Shrine the evening of the 21st of January is, for that moment, one of the hardest jobs in the Church. Keeping order in that crowd is, at times, like herding cats. And the arrival of the occasional "surprise" crazy person or counter protester only adds to the stress of the job.

Here's to the ushers; keeping order, enforcing the fire code, guarding the Host during the communion cattle call, and shushing talkative children. Without you, none of this would be possible!
