At least the pope is visiting with an anti-abortion President rather than Monsieur "Mr. Abortion" Kerry. The ironies of ironies. Tom

I watched it on FNC.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful!

I watched it live on the USCCB web site. Excellent talks by Bush and Benedict.
They need to get some halfway intelligent commentators for that Web site's broadcasts.
Even one-third intelligent would be helpful.

I just can't get over his voice...I keep zoning out, listening to him at the nat'l shrine, because it's just lovely to listen to.

I just loved when the choir sang the rarely sung last stanza of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. It truly brings to light the meaning of the Divine an human sacrifice:
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
And our beloved Papa Beni mouthing the chorus. And a Happy Birthday to boot.
Yes, aaaawe-some! Awesome speeches by both the Holy Father and President Bush. And to top off an awesome day, the bishops got a nice spraying from a can of Papal whoop-a*s! With HizEminence, Cardinal Majony in the front rowww, it couldn't be better.
"God Bless America!!"
