You should look up the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist while living there. They live in Falls Church, VA in the diocese of Arlington, and they are truly great!! An integrated, orthodox, community of Eucharist-loving sisters!
Well. I've only been into the Dominican House once, but definitely be sure to check out the Chapel. It is gorgeous. I don't know anything about living situations though.
Enjoy DC. I will be there this weekend as well. I just finished my four years at CUA in the (undergraduate) School of Philosophy. I am seminarian for the Diocese of Trenton now.

If you are looking for housing, I would also reccomend Silver Spring, MD. Many, many recent graduates of CUA who are on a budget have moved out there. It is on the Metro Red and Green lines. It is clean and fairly safe.
Sorry, I do not have much advice as pertains to employment. I know that the Archdiocese of Washington periodically looks for people to work for them in Development, but that is about all I can think of. Sorry!
