You mean the doctors aren't going to get punished, only the women? Hmm... I'd say that this is quite misleading. But, what isn't misleading about their movement?

They got it all wrong! It is not that "women" are treated as criminals, but "female criminals" are treated as criminals.

as if they dont suffer the consequences of a guilty conscience ? Freedom to choose -- you know they never complete that sentence -- its freedom to choose to kill the baby.

My G-d, it's every female lay student I knew in seminary. To quote my favorite film, "N-V-T-S!"

Anyone who bothers to look at the history prior to RvW would see that that they went after the abortionist and not the woman. In fact, it was the abortionist that would try to claim the woman was an accomplice, not the prosecutor.

There is an inordinate number of white women in this commercial. If one third of African American pregnancies end in abortion, this is not telling the real story; but then the producers of this ad would seem to be racists.

This is classic fear mongering from the pro-abortion side. There has never been a time in the history of abortion law that the American legal system didn't see the mother as the second victinm of the abortion. There is no desire on the part of any mainstrean Pro-life group in America to see these women punished. Pro-lifers know that women are lied, bullied and treated as fools by the abortion industry. They are often being manipulated by boyfriends or angry parents that wnat to eliminate the "problem", the baby.
The abortionist would be the proper place to impose remidies under the law, just as it always has been in our system. They act freely and with full understanding of what they are doing.
As a women that made the awful, and permanent decision to abort my child in 1981, believe me when I say we all serve a life sentence from the deaths of our children. We never forget them. Their brief presence in our lives marks the course of the rest of our lives. Some of us find forgiveness at the foot of the cross, other spend a lifetime trying to justify what can't make sense. I fear that the makers of this ad fall into the later category!
Pray for them, then go out and get out the pro-life vote for the McCain Pailin ticket! We must not loose the ground we have gained since 1973!

Here is an excellent essay that gives the facts about the legal ramifications of overturning Roe v. Wade. Before Roe v. Wade, women were not prosecuted. They were seen as a second victim. There is no reason to expect it to be different if Roe v. Wade were overturned.

I just finished reading the second article. They accused the pro-life side of hypocrisy for not allegedly supporting women's pregnancies. I guess they've never heard of crisis pregnancy centers, which support women who choose to keep their children. I heard that these same centers face losing their funding if Obama becomes president.

Thanks Catholic Mom for providing that resource. I seem to remember someone on this blog (and others) demanding Archbishop Chaput shouldn't be saying anything against abortion unless he first drafted a response to how women should be treated if Roe v. Wade was overturned.

Where are all the horror-stricken 14-year-old girls I see being dragged out of the PP by their callous parents? Why do the feminists never cry "choice" to the people they know aren't given one?
