You know, I've always been more comfortable with scientific experiments on animal embryos. If they want to learn things that can be applied to other areas of research involving stem cells (i.e., things learned in embryonic stem cell research that can be used on adult stem cells), then work with animal cells.
The rush to use humans as laboratory animals is disgusting.

This year's Nobel winner in Medicine, Sir Martin Evans, also believes non-embryonic somatic cell reprogramming has replaced SCNT (Dolly cloning)
"This will be the long-term solution."
Sir Martin won his prize largely in recognition for his work with mouse embryonic stem cells, beginning in 1981.
So, who are the Luddites now?
