I find the commonweal consensus on what "sensus fidelium" means to be interesting... because it's ultimately self-defeating. If - as they seem to imply - EVERYTHING taught by the Magisterium can eventually change with time (because some notable things can), what is to keep their particular favorite causes from being ultimately jettisoned as old and bad?
If morals are determined by majority rule, but the rule only lasts as long as the majority does....we come to a paradox that opens the door to a great darkness and morass intellectually, and results in each person becoming their own infallible guide practically. Which is all fine and good so long as no one cuts them off in mid-sentence with a left hook, I guess.
