Left-wing loons extraordinaire. And these clowns are worried that Republicans will squelch civil liberties? I guess that's what they call in psychology, "projection." Tom

For the record, not all, nor I would say even most, of San Francisco is this looney. This is all just posturing by politicians. I live in San Francisco, and it's also the home of an extremely vibrant young adult community that is thoroughly orthodox. Most San Franciscan's simply shrug off all the craziness of Gavin Newsom(the mayor) and his ilk. Granted few, if any, actually do anything about it, but even fewer actively support or care about city government's "pronouncements."

Michael. Fair enough. But grantign that some SF folks are terrific, the fact is, the voters of that city keep returning complete idiots to office, over and over and over again. At some point, some pretty negative generalizations are in order. This, from someone who lived there a while himself, and who is more than sympathetic to the place and the noble souls still living there.

Edward, I agree completely. I wish more were done in this city to get these bozos out of office, and actually fix some of the real problems San Francisco has (like the crime rate or the massive homeless problem no ones likes to talk about here). Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be in the cards any time soon. I just wanted to point out that there are a few righteous men in San Francisco. Who knows? There might even be ten of them.

It's difficult for me to resist the temptation to write off San Francisco the way Jonah wrote off Nineveh. But Michael's posts make me want to pray for the fine folks in that city to endure and the not-so-fine to find Christ.
God bless you guys! You need it! (Then again, we all do.)

Personally, I think God is going to punish the world for it's crimes with a great anathema.

From San Francisco Board of Supervisors Resolution 168-06
"... that catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of San Francisco stop placing children in need of adoption with homosexual households"
I am appalled but not shocked by the resolution from the Board of Supervisors.
However, I am shocked, and saddened that a supposedly Catholic organization had to be told to stop such a despicable practice in the first place; and I have to ask myself how far back does this practice go? Especially since the Cardinal in question was of late the leader of the same diocese.
I do not know when Catholic Charities started placing adoptive children with homosexuals but shouldn't it have been squelched immediately at the diocesan level?
Yes, let us pray for the city of San Francisco, but let us also pray for an infusion of Godly and courageous Bishops, clergy and laity who will stand up for what is right.

Considering the 9th Circuit is the most liberal, and frequently overturned, of the federal circuit courts, I don't hold out much hope of success for the Thomas More Law Center.

Pray for the elderly and the children. The 'big one' could come at any time now. Enough is enough. I speak as one who has spent too much time in Sodom! I know now that I need to make reparition and prepare my body and soul for 'the day' that is coming! what do I have to bring to my Creator and Lord. What do I have to show Him? Yes San Francisco is home to woderful faithful Catholics and also Satanists who until now have controlled it's direction.
How appropriate that today on the Feast of the Archangel's I should be writing. Let us pray to St. Michael Archangel to begin the work that needs to be done to clean up the fetid mess. Archangel Michael, Servant of the Most High God. please come to our aid and defeat satan and it's works in San Francisco and everywhere! Please protect the children and the infirm elderly who have no one to love them
AMEN
Come soon Lord Jesus
Protect and Bless Benedict
