AmericanPapist Comments

Gravatar What, no reference to that river in Rome?

Gravatar Well, what do you think he plunged into? ;P

Gravatar Dunno . . . The Irish Sea? . . Galway Bay? . . . McCovey's Cove?

Just try not to mention that he "Swam the T***r"!

Certain folks seem to bristle at that phrase.

Gravatar careful, brassband, you coming mighty close there....

Gravatar . . . oops, don't want to provoke any dis-harmony on this of all days . . .

Gravatar If Father Lombardi's comments are indicative, it doesn't appear the Vatican has any questions. Welcome aboard, Mr. Prime Minister!

Gravatar He swam the Tiber! Muahhahahahah! The papists are coming! Our priests are threatening to bless in broad daylight!

Gravatar Write down Scott's name. Now, draw a line through it. There. )As for me, this is enough to make me swim the Huron.)

Gravatar Between AP's "takes the papist plunge" and Nathan's "welcome aboard," we seem to have mixed the aquatic metaphors rather nicely . . . (shaken, not stirred, I presume).

Gravatar Write down Scott's name. Now, draw a line through it. There.

Gee Ed. I love your website. I hope I'm not off your list forever.

Gravatar Scott, recognize the line from The Quiet Man?

Gravatar Scott, recognize the line from The Quiet Man?

You found my movie hole! I can count the number of pre-60's westerns I've seen on one hand: The Red Pony, Shane, Angel and the Badman, High Noon, and The Magnificent Seven (which was 1960 I believe). Unless I count Oklahoma.

I know the westerns from the 60's on which is not to my credit considering that good and bad tend toward relativism in those.

Gravatar Gee, Ed, we've got a heathen amongst us!.

BTW, Scott, "The Quiet Man" is not a western, although it might have been set in the western part of Ireland.

BTW, Ed, the line is: "Strike a line through it!"

Gravatar Close enough for canon law, eh?
