"What was that pronoun you slipped in there?"
Great line.

God loves us the way we are, and he loves us so much that he won't let us stay this way?
Huh?
So much for sanctification, and, well, common sense!

Wonderful! I think we could populate DOZENS of blogs with Colbert's religion commentaries and interviews.
You're right. She said a lot without really telling us anything. Another Seeker trying to make sense - we just don't all bother people with books on it!

I love it--Colbert gets more talking in than she does! A great example of "dialogue."

"One mountain, many paths to the summit"
The pinacle of new age mentality. We should really pray for this woman.

I think that in his humor Stephen Colbert does stand up in a reasonable way for his faith. He isn't afraid to mention it on his show and isn't afraid to defend it either.
I think it's quite inspirational- living your faith in you career no matter what it is (politician, doctor, bellhop, or talk show host).
I don't know if the comment about dialogue was meant in jest or was just snarky. If you sign up to be on the Colbert show, you know what you are getting. If you don't then you deserve it!

I have to agree a truly nonsensical interview with a woman who knows well..You tell me?;) Colbert is funny and was able to put in some good points. But this 'God accepts us as we are'..ah, dear. It is NOT love to tell another person who is living a sinful lifestyle that God is OK with that. The Bible and the Catholic Church state it differently.
She is not standing standing on her faith. Anne is on shifting sands and that came across abundantly.
I have heard Nuns here describe God as 'Sophia Goddess' or just plain 'Goddess' my reply is, 'when did God become trans-gender?' What silliness lol.
Peace to you Thomas:)I had a chuckle thru some of this interview.
