The general sentiment of those who are against the HPV vaccine is all wrong in my humble opinion. I understand their argument.. really I do.. and yet, it's a disease. Would we have this same argument over an AIDS vaccine? Should we really not give people an AIDS vaccine if one were available?
The argument is that HPV can only be contracted through sexual activity. So why mandate a vaccine for a disease to those who do not intend to be sexually promiscuous? Especially given the possibility of adverse side effects?
