Yes, Biden's big mouth will be working overtime in the next several weeks.
But it would be nice if he could get it through his head that "stem cell research" is an ambiguous phrase, morally and scientifically. The real question is "embryonic" or "adult" stem cell research. The former kills babies and accomplishes virtually nothing; the second passes moral muster and achieves results.
If Biden could be educated on that distinction, and play it up, he'd actually pull some more Catholic votes.
Let's see if Joe Biden will do the right thing.
But someone capable will have to teach him.

The other day Biden said personally believes as a matter of faith that humans are humans from the moment of conception. And yet he supports embryonic stem cell research??? Why just embryos, Joe? Why not use humans at all stages of life for scientific research?
Quick, forward this to Archbishop Chaput. It's great chance to educate Catholics on the Church's teaching regarding stem cells and the difference between human embryonic stem cells other types of stem cells.
Each time he opens his mouth he shows his stupidity and confuses others because he is so confused himself.

Isn't that the case with many of these "I'm personally against, but..." politicians? They've had to do such mental gymnastics to get to their positions that are really against the Church's teachings and still consider themselves good Catholics, that they can not speak or think straight anymore.
I can generally identify a doctrinally challenged Catholic by 1) the excessive amount of verbiage they use to defend their out of line position. 2) how confused they are about doctrine 3) how close to the lefts talking points they are.
Catholicism, by its nature, is a centrist religion. It is that way because our doctrine is supposed to transcend the moment in time and depends on tradition and natural law to do so. The Church spells out its doctrine very well, that is why these politicians have such trouble warping it.
Mr Biden, that is a mute point. Science has proven that adult stem cells are far more effective. Next ....
Wow, Joey just questioned the commitment of a mother of a disabled child to finding treatments! Classy!
And what about "I agree with the Church's teaching" line? It appears Biden actually doesn't agree with the Church's teaching.
And while he thinks it's wrong to impose scientific truths taught encouraged by the Church, he's not afraid to impose his OWN views! Classy!
Biden: 0 for 3.
Reality: 3 for 3.
McCain has also supported stem cell research. A draw? No, McCain is running for president. Maybe we should work on Congress to fund the educational mandates of special education and disabilities law. Both parties.
