Ike, Where do you get that idea? St. Vincent De Paul was a French CATHOLIC PRIEST who ministered to the poor and founded a charitable organization that is still running strong today.
Closer to our times there is Father Richard Ho Lung founder of Missionaries of the Poor which is located in Jamaica, one of the POOREST countries in the world with lots of homeless and abandoned people. I could continue, but I'll leave it with these two great PRIEST founders for now. Look 'em up then tell us again that "the priests and the Church (Protestant or Catholic) look down on the homeless.
P.S. I neglected to mention any Protestant founders of charity organizations. Anyone care to help me out :)?
