And it is the NRSV to boot! But what a minute…what else would it be?

That used to be when we didn't use inverted commas for speech!

Ick! The foreword is by Desmond Tutu! That is more disturbing than the green lettering! ;-)

Developed? Or regressed? As some lame attempt to snag the global warming crowd, United Church of Christ adherents, ultraleft Protestants? If it doesn't sport an impramatur, I'm not buying it even if printed on recycled paper bags. This crowd might even want handwritten copies, to reverse 600 years of progress.

Is it printed on recycled paper,I hope?:) Just how many trees were destroyed to print this edition? Sounds too close to "worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator"--who is to be forever praised. Our reading of the Holy Bible must always have the emphasis on Jesus. For He alone saves.

"Developed? Or regressed?"
I was being sarcastic. Though it often comes across wrong in written text.

The funny thing is that they have an essay by JPII and a prayer of St. Francis included, yet this edition doesn't seem to include the Deuterocanonicals. Thats wierd and pretty dumb.
BTW: The NRSV isn't that bad. One of its best qualities is that it includes a plethora of textual notes. I find that really helpful in study.

Now I can lay in the grass, read my recycled bible, and have the spirit of Gaia help me interpret what it means...

You know, we really need a cartoon dramatization of "The Dream of the Rood".
