These angels'' ain't what I'd call "angelic."

Gravatar Congrats on 3000 and checking my own post count I am fast approaching 6000 posts.

Gravatar Materialists try to convince themselves, aided by material, that The Holy Spirit Exists in material form.

Believers wonder when they'll get it.

Gravatar To celebrate the 3000th American Papist post, Ligurgical Dancers decide to fly bird kites.

Gravatar I just got off the phone with Fr. Moderator from TRADITIO:

"Hah! The Martha Graham Mess: suggestively clad women prance about the 'table of plenty' while Benedict-Ratzinger elevates the Novus Ordo sugar cookie!

Maybe Fellay won't sign a deal with Newchurch, but he never should have sullied himself by talking with them!"

Gravatar The winners of the L.A. Religious Education Conference liturgical dance contest win a trip to N.Y.

Gravatar Lol, if you click on the picture you get the one with 3 nuns at empty stadium :D

Gravatar Stefan - that's an accidental, but completely hillarious technical goof. ;)

Gravatar Only those nuns were too nice to walk out on the liturgical dancers

Gravatar After the Washington DC liturgy disaster, Benedict spent his homily giving clear "DO" and "DO NOT" examples.

This was a "DO NOT" example.

Gravatar An out-take from Mars Attacks?

Gravatar I was at this Mass, and people were so excited about this, I was thinking oh who's going to be blogging about how scary it is first. Personally I'm glad PapaB16 wasn't there to see this. It was really scary, considering those outfits were skintight and white. Really I can't put it into words.

PS congrats on 3,000!

Gravatar Right you are, BK :)

Gravatar I don't understand what you're saying, Commander Craig. Is it as rude as it sounds? As inappropriate as it sounds? Are you looking for a different forum?

Gravatar It appears that only the shirts were particularly tight. The pants and dresses were quite baggy.

Shrug. You see a lot tighter every day, and a lot more cleavage. Yes, probably not appropriate for Mass or appearing on a Jumbotron, but pretty modest on the scale of contemporary life. Certainly, nobody gazing down upon the field from the top row was going to be titillated.

The kites themselves are kinda cool. We should all have a paraliturgical procession for Pentecost outside church and give the kids the kites to carry.

Gravatar Dedicated liturgical dances put themselves in harm's way to protect the stage from any potential "blessings" a flock of giant pigeons dressed as doves might send the Pope's way.

Gravatar WhollyRoamin:

It's a spoof of the Traditio web site: see http://www.traditio.com and you'll know what I mean.

Gravatar Look, there is a patch of sky. Let us chase it

Gravatar Now remember girls you are little doves
floating, floating, floating over the meadow of enchanted flowers lifting theri eyes to the sun. Margaret! Stop snikgering!

Gravatar I was lucky enough to be @ Yankee Stadium yesterday, thanks to the Diocese of Cleveland. These young girls were part of the pre-Mass concert, and they flew these kites accompanying a young French girl singing. It was really very beautiful and the crowd loved it. It was NOT liturgical dance - this was not part of the Mass.

I thought the Archdiocese of NY did a wonderful job, coordinating all the Papal events. The concert @ Yankee Stadium was excellent, with a wide variety of good music, from Harry Connick, Jr., the Harlem Gospel Choir, Dana, Jose Feliciano, the Boys Choir of Harlem, Libera, local Catholic High School bands and choirs, the West Point Cadet Choir, and many others. The Mass itself, of course, was awesome. We were in the right field bleachers, but we could see everything on the jumbotron and the acoustics were pretty good.

I will never forget my experience!

Gravatar Lovely lovely girls. Keep it up.

Now. Release the dragon!

Gravatar Phew! I'm glad it was a spoof.

I didn't recognize it as Traditio though-- CommanderCraig used complete sentences and real grammar.
