Gravatar There a lot to be said for doing nothing. I readily grant that. But there is also something to be said for helping people remember that, when faced with responding to a hate-monger in their midst, the Univeristy of Minnesota deliberately did nothing.

Gravatar What??? When the Blessed Sacrament is at stake???? I was hoping for a troop of brave men to break into his house and rescue Our Lord. (Almost seriously, though it's the sort of thing that would probably work out better in a Chesterton essay than in real life.)

Gravatar Myers posted today that he has now desecrated the Eucharist, a Koran, and a third item he doesnt name.

"Yes, the sad little cracker has met its undignified end, so stop pestering me. The cracker, the koran, and another surprise entry have been violated and are gone. You'll have to wait until tomorrow for the details, what little of them there are."

Gravatar dad - that's a really good point that I had not considered. the sphere of culpability encompasses more than myers.

g - yes, I saw that. well, it's in God's hands now. May he be merciful.

Gravatar Thomas, agreed. I have stated on my blog that I will begin ignoring him as well. He is like a 2 year old demanding attention. The best way to get back at him is to deny him the attention he craves.

Gravatar If the "professor" truly desecrates the Koran our problem is solved. The "Religion of Peace" will deal with him. That's probably why the rank little coward will do nothing with the Koran. Tom

Gravatar TJM -- that's exactly what I was thinking. Meyers may not think that we will do anything about this but he has to be pretty ignorant to think he will be able to get by with this as far as the Muslims are concerned.
For all the hype Meyers was making about this, he doesn't seem to be bragging about it too much but I'm sure that's coming too. Great article by Shea, by the way.

Gravatar I wonder if the University will decide to take action since a Koran has been desecrated. I mean, those silly Catholics, of course we should show them up, but we must be respectful to our Muslim friends!

(By, the way, I do believe we should be respectful to our Muslim friends, but in addition to everyone else, not instead of everyone else.)

Gravatar PZ Myers-- educating the youth of tomorrow.

If he can provide proof of desecrating a Koran, I have little doubt that he'll be fired rather quickly. It's anti-Catholicism.
