Recycled green curtains? Hope he at least takes the curtain rod out. Or maybe he's just a real fan of Carol Burnette.
I know, when I read about the green curtain, all I could think of was Scarlett ripping down "Miss Ellen's Fortiers" to make into a ball gown . . !
Environmentalism is high on theory and soft on facts. There is some evidence, for example, that recycling certain materials may do nothing at all or even cause harm. It was the environmentists also whose policies on forestation is responsible for most of the Western forest fires as the underbrush was left alone and became tinder.
It's another in the ever-unfolding group of "isms" that have plagued our poor society since the 1960s--giving us a breath of anarchy in rational thinking that is utterly appalling. It all sounds so nice, clean, good and kind, when, in fact, it is quite likely a mixture of nutty fascism with elements of fact.
What this priest is doing is sheer madness. And it is being done by him for his own rather fatuous ego...like so much that slips out of orthodoxy into the realm of outer space.

Isn't this some sort of abuse of the Sacrament? It just sounds wrong.
