I do not suppose anyone has realized that when it comes to matters of law and morality, people with a Catholic background have an advantage over people who do not. This extends beyond Latin and covers ideas like objective and intellectable truth as well as natural law which posits a standard, universal morality.
Think about it. Even all the most intriguing political commentators are Catholic or come from Catholic backgrounds:
Hugh Hewitt (currently Presbyterian), Cris Matthews, Laura Ingraham, Alan Keyes, Bill O'Reilley, Michael Moore, etc.
I do not see anyone making a cartoon about THAT because to include Liberal Catholics in your anti-Catholic smear would be to invite censure like Imus.
