Gravatar You know my feelings on all this, Thom. Witnessing the destruction of AMC from the inside has taught me to be skeptical of Catholic 'celebrity' and acclaim. A man may have huge amounts of money, and may claim to be the most conservative of conservative Catholics, but none of that is any guarantee of humility, holiness, wisdom, or prudence. Particularly in someone as insulated by columns of 'yes -men' as TM.

That he could say such a thing of men and women who took great personal risks to start AMC and greater still in attempts to save her...it's disgusting. My prayer for AMU is that somehow it succeed in spite of this man.

Gravatar I think he is a PT Barnum kind of figure myself. Wants people to move to his own, and so makes big bucks doing it.

I mean, if he were true to his ethics, imagine what he could have done with pizzas: no meat Fridays. That, of course, would have lost money!

Gravatar own *town. Sorry, don't know how that word got left out.

Gravatar Nice, AmPap. Tom Monaghan's "academic terrorist" comment was indeed shameful.

Gravatar I think the ugly design of that church is enough to bring shame!

Gravatar I agree with Peadar.
